From the recording Our God is the One Who Sees.
This is written for the times we feel alone, unseen and forgotten. It is a reminder that Our God is the one who sees!
Lyrics
Our God is the One Who Sees
To mothers and daughters, and all sisters of mine. Are you weighed down by life's heavy burdens? Is your heart desperate, seeking comfort in all the wrong places? Do you feel guilty, unworthy, and weary of all the sad faces? Do you feel unseen, overworked, and abused? Do you cry out in the night? Who will care for me?
You are not invisible. You are not nameless. Our God knew your name in your mother's wound. He knows your name. Even if this world never gives you fame, never knows your name, make your story worthy to be told. Our God is the One who sees.
He knows your name.
The woman at the Well. The world will never know her name, but her story will forever be told. She was weighed down, guilty and unworthy. Jesus drank from her well. He called her by name. He knew her sins and He forgave. Our God is the one who sees.
The bleeding woman. The world will never know her name, but her story never grows old. She was hurting, unclean and unseen. Jesus felt her touch.
He called her by name. By her faith she was healed. Our God is the one who sees.
The widow with two copper coins. The world will never know her name, but her story is more valuable than gold. The rich men gave little, but the widow gave her all. Jesus knew. He called her by name. Her riches await her in heaven. Our God is the One who sees.
To the mothers, daughters, and sisters of mine.
He knows your name. Even if this world never gives you fame, never knows your name, make your story worthy to be told.
Our God is the One who sees. He knows your name,
He sees you. He calls you by name, Our God is the one who sees. My God, My God is the one he sees, He sees us.
